Artist Statement:

I use acrylic paints, sometimes along with other media, on wood panels and canvases. Most often I do not have anything in particular in mind when I begin an abstract painting, I use intuition and let the painting tell me what to do, allowing my paintings to take their own form using color, composition, and texture. In my paintings, the passage of time in relation to living organisms as well as inanimate objects is a common theme. I have always loved drawing people, so many of my paintings include figures as well.
